In 2020, Eastern purchased 25 Computer Drive out of New York State Bankruptcy Court. Built in 2006 by Lowe’s Home Improvements, the retail property was converted into a manufacturing facility in 2015. Brooks Brothers acquired the asset in 2016 and used the facility as its largest clothing factory in the US, employing over 400 workers.
Sitting on a 21-acre site in the Computer Drive industrial park, the building has excellent accessibility and market presence. Haverhill is located 35 miles north of Boston and just 4 miles from the New Hampshire border, with strong demographics and a deep labor pool.
In January 2021, Eastern signed a 10-year, full building lease with Amazon to open a last mile distribution facility. Amazon launched the location in June 2021 and in August 2021, Eastern sold the property.
